My favorite packs: Parenthood, Seasons, University, Toddler, Kids Room, and Paranormal Least favorite packs: Pretty much every other stuff pack, City Living, Get Famous, Get Together, Strangerville, Spa Day, and Get To Work Absolute shit and shouldn't exist: Moschino, My First Pet, Outdoor Retreat, Star Wars, and Spooky Everything else didn't thrill me. They coulda been a lot better and that's all I'm gonna say about that. NEXT!

The ONLY time I used laundry day pack was when I uploaded Simproved's Harry Potter's world. I made Molly wash clothes in the Burrow and she hated it, I hated it, everyone hated it, never doing that again.

I've finally bought Sims for myself and I'm trying to figure out which packs are worth buying so if anyone had any suggestions that would be super helpful. So far I have seasons, discover university, laundry day, tiny living and paranormal. Not sure which others ones to get?

I personally recommend Get Together for the really cool club system and Vampires for the spooky Victorian vibe and the in-depth occults, and City Living definitely when it's on sales price.

i think one of the things that angers me the most about TS4 is that SO MANY of the packs could be combined together. -my first pet could go with cats and dogs -a lot of the adventure packs could go together -perfect patio, romantic garden, and backyard stuff -toddler stuff and kids room stuff (maybe parenthood) -get together with bowling night stuff, movie hangout stuff -a lot of the paranormal stuff could be put together (i think back to the sims 3 packs for paranormal stuff) it feels like getting SO LITTLE for SO MUCH. it’s like they’re trying to squeeze people dry without even trying to hide it

I genuinely liked My First Pet Stuff, but even I think it falls a bit short. I got it because I wanted to be able to have pet rodents, specifically mice like I do in real life. The only mice available are the ones in the mouse hole that just annoy the fuck out of your sims. They do have rats, and I found CC meshes to give you way more small pets (still not including mice, unfortunately), but they all act the same and it isn't realistic to have solitary rats. Rats and female mice need companions (while male mice ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT), and the ones in the game can't have them. I usually pretend my rat is a mouse, and I named her after my heart mouse, Zipa (pronounced Zee-puh) who passed away in October. But I still think they could have done way better. (And I wish they had rabbits that function like cats and dogs. I found a mod for that but it hasn't worked.)

Also, My First Pet Stuff lets you have a "Miniature Bubalus" as a pet (which functions the same as the rodents), but I had no idea what the hell that was until my kids started playing the Pokémon equivalent from...Kids' Room Stuff? Turns out a Bubalus is their version of a Pokémon, and you can have a miniature one as a pet. I feel like that should be more exciting than it is.

I can relate with City Living, and a lot of my Sims have story lines, so I would get Get Famous for the fame thing. Also, just Seasons for aesthetic. I would also get Moschino for photography.

The only reason I buy the packs is because me and my sister both play on the same computer so we split the money plus we only buy when it’s around 50% off. So essentially I get 75% off lol for example if we want a stuff pack when it’s 50% off I only have to pay $2.50

Get together is one of my least favourites tbh haha I don’t feel like it did anything in my game. The club system isn’t that fun, it’s boring fast. And the only thing I liked about get to work was the ability to create business even though the employee system was broken.

Get Together is my favorite Sims 4 pack too! The world is absolutely beautiful and large-- the Sims team really put their all into it. I love the ruins and pieces of history that are apparent throughout the world

the things for the sims i want but am too broke to get: island living: im a sucker for mermaids and i walways wanted them in game also i live on an island so.... get together: everyone loves it, the world is amazing and i think it's the pack that adds dancing so parenthood: i love a good family pt and this just adds more to that aspect. university: i just want uni for my sims. it's a big part of pt and it adds so much like bikes and the cas stuff is rly cute, idk i just rly want it. relm of magic: broomsticks, need i say more...

I remember how hard we all begged to be able to do laundry in The Sims 2, lol. So much so that when we got washers and dryers in The Sims 3 Ambitions, they might as well have been ladders 😂 Remember those days, when things like that were just included in ep's instead of charged for as stuff packs? 😒 It's why I don't play The Sims 4. It looks beautiful, but I can't afford to buy all the stuff that would kinda flesh out my game the way it already is in The Sims 3.

Spa day is my FAV pack ever!!!!! Not gonna lie I was surprised when she put it at the bottom.....

After all those months - I can certainly say. I wouldn't buy D. University, if not for the shower and roomates. Those are actually the only two redeemable features of that pack. It's more of a Discovering University than actual University pack. World is awfully blocky, empty and full of rabbit holes. University gameplay is just the same school gameplay, but with extra moving out from parent's house. No depth, overpriced Robotics packs at best.

Imagine a magical universe where we could get all these things included in the game rather than paying $500 for an overall mediocre game

finally someone NOT hating on Strangerville and Vampires 😭 (looking at you, simsie). If only the world for vampires was bigger and you could really explore it better, like if those caves and interesting secluded locations were actual places of interest and not just decorative. But the Sims in general struggles with things only being decorative. Very minimal game compared to the Sims 3 which I adored but which was laggy as hell. Anyways, those are two of my favorite DLC (also "get together" with the Windenburg world and fachwerk architectural style. And that the Sims greet each other by kissing just like in Europe)

(Ik nobody asked but)Im disappointed in the Realm of Magic pack. I feel like (doesnt matter if you believe in that kinda stuff for not) its not how a normal witch would function. Like you can even make moon water or collect rain water. You should be able to collect more herbs. And use plasma for spells and potions. Their coulda been rituals and crazy shit like that. I couldnt even find not one pentacle. Or even a pentagram. I also felt as though they shoulda had a way to live in the "realm of magic". And more housing in the normal world too. And someone mentioned in the comments how vampires and realm of magic shoulda been together and i couldnt agree more. Overall they used cheap tactics and unrealistic gamplay and slapped the "witch" title over it

Get together was the only expansion that truly brought somthing new to the table
