I've read some reviews that his book ends (or nearly ends) with a line about how 'all lives can't matter until black lives matter MORE'...which I find to be patently absurd. All lives matter exactly and precisely THE SAME; regardless of any race, class or (insert condition here), no matter what any political mouth-piece or celebrity states otherwise....is this book full of this extreme-left SJW pandering/one-liners? If not, I'll order it and try to ignore that asinine line.

His delivery is a little hippy-dippy but ultimately his outlook on life seems to be not too dissimilar to the path laid out in 12 Rules For Life. It's great that for people who maybe won't respond strongly to Dr. Peterson's more clinical take on what makes a good life there's people like Matthew espousing similar beliefs in a different way or with different language. Hopefully should help more people get the message that life is what you make of it, hardships can be valuable learning experiences if you choose to make them so instead of choosing to complain about being a victim.

Not that I dislike either of these Gentleman but if I was fairly new to the fortune and fame like Peterson is, and I was well known for intellectual depth and wisdom like him; I can’t imagine choosing Mathew McConaughey as an example of someone you gather inspiration from? At no fault of his own, the guy is 6’2” with a square jawline, in killer shape, and has a full head of hair. I mean common, not only is he a ridiculously famous and successful multimillionaire but also has multiple families that share an abundance of love. Most people have more life struggles and learn harder lessons before they grow out of diapers than this guy has in his entire life. I’m sure he ran off to one of his several homes he owns that are scattered throughout the world. Like I said, I like both of them and at no fault of his own, is what it is but please, spare us the public accolade for arguably the most fortunate man in the country for overcoming such challenging hardships.

I think Matthew needs an update on the meaning of the word memoir, it's from the French aide memoire - memory aid, it's a tool and to be used. It's not and end-of-life statement, quiet the opposite, in order to live a full life you need to remember. I'm getting the book whatever =]8¬_D

Ok.. I've only watched 10 mins into this video for this comment, but the amount of mental gymnastics for McConaughey to describe his realizing to overcome his ego is kind of tiring.. that said, it sounds like he came to a good conclusion from his book and his musings.. but Hollywood had messed up his brain so much to talk himself into circles to come to those conclusions is mind boggling... based on this, I think the majority of actors need to seek psychotherapy on a regular basis.. but he does seem down to earth from his musings...*sigh*

I think I get the gist of his book from this interview. How I found my green lights is believing that all things work in my best interest. Which brings up another belief I hold Just because I believe something it does not mean it is true. I believed Mathew was hollywood weirdo and likely a satanist. I used to feel distaste for Jordan and the lies he propagates. Now, seeing the person he has become, only makes me feel sad for him. If you want to believe life is misery, pain and suffering, then these outcomes in life, which JP has experienced, will be in your future. If you want to believe life is good, benevolent and prosperous you can live free like Matthew McConaughey. The choice is yours.
