when it hits defcon 1, just launch everything at everyone and hope they get blown up before they can launch things at you.

I got defcon for free when I bought the "name in game" DLC for prison architect (back before paradox bought it), I only checked it out this year back in february. While it didn't scare me, I felt uneasy because all people dead were just numbers now.

The thing that is scary is the fact that you dont see the people you dont see them watch in horror as they are engulfed in a fiery ball of plasma and all you see countless faceless people that are just another peace on a bored instead of people people with lives family friends and all you see is another target taken down thats what governments see in war not individuals with lives but just another target to kill if you can not kill someone in front of you why kill countless humans because you can not see them because you dont know the people that is why this game is so scary

Pro tip: With Europe, put your submarines north of Russia. Then, when the Nukes come, dont fire your land based systems yet, due to how small Europe is, your defenses massively overlap and youre very well protected. Do however fire all the nukes on your submarines (And carriers if you have any around) at Russia. While their silos are firing, theyre completely incapable of stopping your nukes, and Russia turns into oblivion. Once everyone is done firing, fire your land based nukes, but wait for everyone elses Nukes to come in.
