Oh yeah I remember this! I always wanted one but for the time they were like, the most expensive toy in the entire aisle that never ran out because it was so expensive you'd only see them sell completely around festivities. But most wanted the 2 pack, the price for one was actually like 20 bucks, so it was better to save up another 10 for two of them, but some only came as single cube exclusives. It also has accessories, included platforms, there was a big platform for like 5 of them that had a screen on one side where all on the top would interact like it was a city street, and a little engineer cube world that was like 60 bucks, but it brought a solar panel and batteries with enough power to keep about 10 cubes powered. But those seem to be completely forgotten and left no traces. Probably since those didn't sell. The band big one was actually a limited thing, I think it was a collab with a band but I forgot which one it was exactly.

I doubt that things like this will make a come-back, but if they ever did decide to redo stuff like Cube World, it would be nice if they really amped up the connectivity between them. Like, they gave you two in a set. If you connect them, one might go into the other. You could separate the two toys and now you have one empty one and one containing two. Now imagine the potential you could have where, even if the limit of inhabitants per cube was three, you connected 16 of these together while disconnecting and resetting empty boxes to create more stick figures. Add in more time-sensitive reactions based on the number of inhabitants, and you could do things like force three stick-figures into a single room, strand them there, and after a set amount of time have them start getting cabin-fever and attack each other. Get a little too sadistic and leave them alone for too long, you might wake up one day to check on them and there's only two there when you left them with three. I just think it would be fun to see the different types of interaction when the number of figures didn't match up with the number of cubes. Hell, imagine if you set it up so that there were more cubes than characters, and now they're lonely and wandering empty cubes looking for any sort of companion. You could either end up with a stick-figure recreation of the Cast Away movie, or overpopulation Donner Party nightmares.

I remember these, they were cool. My cousins had them and also something else which I’m trying really hard to find. They were creatures in tubes and boxes that were filled with water. The one I remember most was the shark in a round, Pill-shaped tube filled with water. It was connected to this yellow rectangular box, which had buttons and a screen. they had these censors on the back of the box part. You connect one machine with another machine and the creatures in each tube would battle. They had health bars on the screens and they made noises. I can’t for the life of me find these

I know no one is gonna read this but seeing cube world again unlocked a memory I had when I was in like elementary school(I think) One my last day of school which was like the middle of the year. I was moving away and my friends where playing with the cube world toys and when the day was over I just said "bye guys! I'll see you tomorrow" And they where to busy playing to like actually say bye but I remember walking away and never going back to school. And that's it.
