Would love to hear Billie record some old standards from the 40's generation like maybe June Christy "That's All" or Fitzgerald's "Cry me a river", "My Funny Valentine", "Here's That Rainy Day" Would be amazing.

There is no doubt that Billie is talented. BUT Finneas plays such a HUGE part. Billie has the voice and he has the vision that brought/brings it to life. His music alone is also awesome.

She might be talented, but she also comes from money...life is easier, and so much easier to get a head when you come form money. I prefer musicians who acknowledge they had a head start in life, but Billie just gives off the impression she’s suffered her whole life, when in reality, although having some issues, she’s had life so much easier. I do like her, but she seems very sheltered!
19 dager sidenMila BenMimon
@coochiedestroyer 05 Furthermore I didn’t say she was RICH, her parents were comfortable and rather Close to being middle class, but they were not poor either, they didn’t pick up second jobs to pay their bills or put food on the table, they got second jobs to support their children in music, so that their children didn’t have to work, I would say that is a massive privilege and definitely gives you a leg up when it comes to breaking into the industry, many of us have parents who are too concerned with how they are going to feed us and pay the bills...just like Millie bony brown, her parents were comfortable, but moved so Millie had a better chance of being a star, due to that they ended up with a lot of debt, they were about to throw in the towel before Millie obtained the role on stranger things, so you see, she may have not been rich, but she was definitely better off than most people, and was definitely privileged in the sense that her parents helped her immensely, without her parents being willing to go to such drastic lengths it would have been so much harder to obtain her goal, and most likely would have happened when she was much older....none of this however is a bad thing, all I said is that it’s good to recognise it, as then people will relate to you a lot better and you comes across as more understanding and aware of the world!
17 dager sidenMila BenMimon
@coochiedestroyer 05 No I don’t act like that at all, what I say is based on what SHE has put out into the public, and as part of the public I have the right to form my own opinion based upon the information, actions and the persona she puts out there into the public eye. Everyone has the right to judge that, all I said was that I prefer those who acknowledge their head starts in life, I didn’t say I did not like her, or say she was not talented, or that she didn’t deserve her platform, in fact I do like her as an artist, it’s just my opinion that she has had it easier when it comes to making a name for oneself, as opposed to someone off of a council estate or on benefits or on a low salary having to pay back Uni fees! All I said was that she comes across as very sheltered, yet you seem to be taking it to another level, I don’t see how it is, as you say, wrong, to form an opinion that may differ slightly to those of the STANS, why is that wrong? I based it off of information SHE put out there, but in no way did I say I didn’t not like her or didn’t like her art, I was merely making a suggestion to perhaps acknowledge that aspect, as that was people come across more genuine, and it helps them to understand the world better...how, or why, is that Wrong?
17 dager sidencoochiedestroyer 05
I guess you don't know her personally to judge her like this , you don't know her personal life to say this , you act like you were living with her and know everything about her , and that's wrong .
17 dager sidencoochiedestroyer 05
Billie did not grow up with money her family was limited , she literally got rich when she started making music
17 dager sidenMila BenMimon
@Milena D I do actually like her and I do think she is talented, along with her brother, I don’t think they would reach this succes without the other, but in the grand scheme of things, especially when she claims to support various causes, and to be “real”, it’s also real to acknowledge your start, otherwise as you get older you become arrogant and out of touch with reality. For example, how many working class people would be able to afford all the tech they have now, and even then when they first stated, hardly any would be the answer, how many people would have the space to create that they do, hardly any, that is why it is easier for them to get a head than others, but none the less, I do believe they would have made it regardless, I’m in now way saying they don’t deserve what they have, or that they are not talented, but I am saying that they seem to be slightly oblivious to the fact, and at times made out they came from nothing, when that is not the case, they said once their parents could not support their endeavours full so had to get second jobs, however many parents would not be able to take on second jobs in order to pay for their kids dreams, their parents had that flexibility, but by no means would they have lost their home or starved of their parents did not work second jobs, personally I would consider that VERY LUCKY and 100% a head start in life!
