I wish Obi Wan's Death eww as more emotional. I personally don't like what Disney did with the sequels but I feel like if they remade the originals it would be amazing. As long as they keep to the storyline, just make flashbacks and better dialogue and whatnot to give more emotion but knowing Disney they would overdo it

I grew up watching the prequels so I already knew this by the time I got to "A new Hope". Now everytime I watch Ep 4 while binging the story, I pause at 31:06 and watch this video then continue at 34:46. Before I imagined the past as sir Alec told it, now I re-live it. This video just adds soo damn much as far as feelings go. Thank you soo very much for it.

Stopping by to say this is extraordinary. I don't think Sir Alec Guiness could have dreamed the acting choices he made would fit in that scene after he's gone. Too bad he couldn't see how he opened a door to people looking at his past work. If you get a chance, find his work in Smiley's people with a young Patrick Stewart. He was a great George Smiley. Obi-Wan did that and I was pretty young and we had PBS.

This is exactly what was missing from sequel trilogy. They felt bit disconnected. We needed more fleshed out scenes, some more-so than others. I have always hated how Vader’s last scene is so short and with a dialogue that leaves much to be desired. But I’m sure fans would shout foul if Lucas were to implement flashbacks and memories to sequel trilogy. Wonderful work my friend! Very heart warming

I like how the story works both as Darth Vader consuming Anakin, but also them being two seperate characters (as originally planned in 1977)

I mean... the clone wars was one of the most destructive conflicts the galaxy had seen at that point. I'd be shocked if Obi didn't have PTSD, especially with what happened at the end.

I came back and rewatched this edit and repurposing of the storyline. This is one of the best things I have ever watched on Youtube. I love the dramatic edge that was laid down in the flow of this clip. The Star Wars saga is so compelling and has so many analogs to real life, it does not need the cartoonish/buffoonish elements that have been woven into the story in the last several years. I like how you can sympathize with Obi-wan as he reminisces about the past - you can almost "feel" his past. So well done! Would love to see you make more of these. :)
