The fact that there are some packs that I have bought for CAS or build items alone and not cared for the gameplay but in this case I can’t even buy it for that ... basically there’s nothing about this pack that’s even worth a £5 sale price of a stuff pack and this is a £20 game pack 🤭

As someone who *was* an Disneyland AP holder (😭) for like three years, this pack looks really interesting (especially now since the parks are closed, it’s literally identical) but it just feels soulless, none of the usual Sims or Disney magic found :(( really disappointed tbh and I haven’t even seen Star Wars

This is why I only go to Jesse and Steph when anything new comes out. They're the ONLY ones who are honest and don't sugar coat anything. Not naming names but there are a ton of other game changers that will say something along the lines of "This packs doesn't add anything to the game but it's still good and you should buy it !! 🥺". The clothes are nice, but they're all costumes. It's a Stuff Pack, except it's got a world, so they needed to give it to the Game Pack world to make a world. Deep in their hearts, EA knew that everybody who plays Sims is a 30 year old woman and all of this is available as a free mod, and we DON'T KNOW A FUCKING FUCK about Star Wars. Also, that kiddies robe is a Jawa costume.

yk what, i think it's okay to admit that ea is a big company and makes cash grab packs. harassing the devs on twitter is unreasonable and immature (i believe some people did do this, unfortunately), but it is entirely okay to say "this pack is disappointing, not what we wanted, and ea likes money." because they do. their packs are very expensive, the base features of the game are underwhelming, a lot of packs lately have been disliked for various reasons. it's common knowledge that ea likes money. it's not the end of the world if someone doesn't like the pack or the game; ea isn't going to shut down because of it, nor are any of the employees going to go into depression because some random person online went "eh, i don't like the star wars pack." some youtubers have been acting like disliking this pack is unreasonable and dumb. it's a bad pack, it's okay to admit that, it's okay to acknowledge that ea is a big company and makes games that make sense for a big company to make. journey to batuu is bad. edit: not everything is bad, don't think i'm trying to say that. i like the cas items for the most part, some of the build mode items are cool, but it's not anything i really want and in my opinion the gameplay kind of sucks. this is really all my opinion, and i'm not trying to say that what i think about the pack is 100% factual, but some people have really been shitting on simmers who hated this pack. they have reason to, and as long as they aren't harassing anyone they're entitled to [dislike the pack]. so basically my point is it's okay to not like the pack and recognize that ea is capable of putting out shitty content.

I have been a simmer since the original sims, no expansion packs yet, just the base game. I have never had an issue getting into a base game to a new game, let alone one where I have almost all the expansion packs (totally a completionist). The Sims 4 really is just not doing it for me. I love legacy challenges. I can't get into it. I love pick rich sims and playing as them with everything in the packs. I can't get into it. I love making a self insert and motherlode-ing myself rich and living my fantasy life. I can't get into it. Why can't I get into The Sims 4? This is why. The game play just sucks. Ugh, sorry, I'm venting.

If they made one with proper gameplay; a career in starfleet, living on enterprise and travelling to the different quadrants and meeting the species with your sim and featuring starship battles. okay, yes,, this pack DEFINITLEY SHOULD NOT HAVE EXISTED but i'm allowed to like it and i respect if you don't like it but if someone thinks that they like it then they do, don't critisize it.

The fact the aliens or whatever they are, are literally just hats with some SMALL skin textures is insane. That's basically custom content but even custom content is better than that most of the time. Along with the fact that if you take off the clothes (like get into a bikini/swimsuit) the skin textures don't even cover the full body for the aliens.

I had decided to boycott this pack before seeing any reviews but my opinion is definitely being reinforced: The Sims 4 already has it's own "established alien lore" for whatever it's worth and I felt this pack would be game breaking... after seeing this and Carl's Sim's Guide's review... I'm so glad I didn't invest in Journey To Batuu.

There are many bad things about this pack, and a couple good ones (lightsabers mostly) but the worst for me has to be that I can't take any pictures with my in game 'friends', and the confusing placements of things. I was so excited to buy it, as a fan of Sims 4 and Star wars, bought it, and am now kinda disappointed.

I created a new sim, dropped him in the world on full autonomy. Tried to get him into a few places. He was bored, so bored. Completed a couple of tasks. He was bored. Looking forward to demolishing it. Tragic.

One of these days another developer is going to give us a sims game that innovates and EA is gonna shit themselves. They know there’s nothing like Sims on the market. That’s why they half-ass everything. I’m not a capitalism simp but Paralives (et al) can’t get here fast enough.

It feels like EA knows the simmers are better at everything (builds, CAS/townie generation, etc) so they released this pack as a challenge: make a whole world better. And honestly? I'm waiting for the modder and custom content creator who does it. See y'all in a few months when the fan correction pack gets released.

I was so disappointed with this pack, im a huge star wars fan but honestly found the game play boring. They really missed an opportunity to add a jedi aspiration or career which could have been tied in with eco living, or the same for sith or first order. They could have built on the smuggler branch on the astronaut career to link to the game. Honestly just promo for the star wars ea games... wish I hadn't bought it.

Disney should've just paid for this to be free for everyone. Why are we supposed to pay for an advertisement to their park? Like you want to get people excited with cross-promotion, fine, but charging us $20 is greedy even for the Mouse.

i love star wars and i wouldn't spend my money on this. also, i just wanted to say that the windows movie maker transitions are present in every star wars movie, so it makes sense that they're there

let be real here, Star Wars was suffering from the absolute sh!t show the sequels became so they sponsored a sims pack and learned NOTHING so they focused on the sequels instead of the rest of the franchise (which would’ve been way more fun)

I think what a lot felt about Eco living was that. Eco living contained the second part of 3 different items sets stuff that should been at least to some level included in other packs. for example. off the grid living from island living (eco contains stuff for making yourself self sufficient like water collectors and power generator/solar and wind) whit out Eco living Off the grid just don't work in a fun way. there are more but i can´t recall any of them right now.

Boring and confusing. That's a very dangerous combination EA. Very dangerous. I really wish they at least would have waited like, a year or so when all the drama passed. But no. They did one little video to try and give us hope, then release this almost right after. I get that they were _probably_ working on this pack since the start, (hence why there's SO MANY ITEMS) and wanted it out. But come on. TIMING IS KEY WITH SO MANY THINGS. Get it right EA. I feel like one more huge screw up like this and the game is done. It's a really sad thought, but I feel like that's where things are headed. Glad I didn't spend money on this one. I'm not a _huge_ Star Wars fan, but when I was thinking about it, I was kinda like you and thought: well maybe this'll get me into it. Yeah... no...

The worst part is I don't think any of us are surprised that we arent's surprised the pack is not good. It's like we've come to expect the packs to be subpar which is really sad. The Sims team really need to step up their game, but if people keep buying terrible packs like this, they are going to think it's okay to release shit like this.
