Couldn't agree more. I fucking LOVE this game. Considering I rarely drop the bucks on a pre-release game, I am completely rewarded by buying this game in pre-release. It's an absolute fucking BLAST. For me, the ultimate build is Carrier body + Temporal (slows down enemy projectiles) build followed by as many shield, drone, weapon damage, accuracy, + projectile and blast damage you can earn. Fortunately, this build excels in this, your drones will take care of the enemy mooks while you take on the miniboss mobs of a given level. Admittedly level 100 tends to be my personal Waterloo, but if you have a fast moving ship you can avoid this bosses lock-on laser which fucks you up hardcore if you are not fast enough. Sniper (extra damage from how far away you are from the enemy) really comes into its own here. GL!

I've got to say, I'm not the biggest fan of rougelikes (mainly how your power is left entirely up to chance) but Vale's description of how busted and varied you can be in this game damn near gave me an erection. Probably helps that I like top down shooters like these though.

It isn’t mainly a roguelike, but it does have a mode called Beneath, which is roguelike. Just thought I should mention that.

I am a PERSON not much advice I could give seeing as I suck ass at it, but never stay still for too long Always be moving and planning ahead, especially since you can’t move and simultaneously shoot in any direction

You probably get this alot but if you like this because of build variety try binding of isaac. It starts off slow but once you get a bunch of unlocks you'll be able to get some really crazy shit going
