Not gonna lie I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on these comments and tbh I find them to be a little harsh. YouTube can be an incredibly draining job and I feel like so many people are bashing this series when we truely don’t know what either Hailey or Ryan are going through. Yes, maybe it’s not their best, but they are still creating and giving to their audience, if they are trying and open to learning and growing there is no issues here. We need to remember they are people too, and not everything can always live up to people’s specific expectations.

2:22 "We're not gonna sit here and act like we're experts" ... them literally hyping up this entire series making it seem like they were going to be personally flipping a house and doing the work themselves in Fixer Upper type style, for literal months. only to see them walk around a house aimlessly commenting on other people's work. idk I love Haley and Ryan, but this whole series is so underwhelming. there was so much excitement and so little return. my dad owns his own handyman business and he's been flipping houses for 5+ years now, I used to help him during the summers, and I think I know more about the process than they do (and I know very little lmao). which is obviously okay if they were acting like they were trying to learn, but they've given off the impression that they were "so passionate" and "having been dreaming of this for years" when that is the exact opposite vibe I am actually getting from the finished product. but idk that's just my thoughts

I haven’t watched any of Haley’s videos in a while and coming back I can’t help but feel like there’s something going on behind the camera. From what I understand this seemed to be more of Haley’s dream that Ryan was supporting but Ryan really carried this video. I hope Haley finds herself again...

I’m so confused. Haley is selling mugs, getting her real-estate license, being an influencer, co running a podcast, and appearing in this awkward house makeover series. She’s spread too thin and you can tell her heart isn’t in everything.

I feel so bad bc Haley and Ryan are trying so hard to make this entertaining and fun while learning how to flip a house at the same time and everyone is saying in the comments how the video is messy. This is an incredibly difficult task and they are totally new to it! They’re doing their best- offer them some support guys!! I think these videos are great so far and I love the energy! You guys are so cute together and I love what you’re doing with the house so far💕Good luck!

I feel like what people aren't getting, even though they recognized it in the video, is that this is their first project. This is obviously something that they've wanted to do for a long time, and you guys tearing them down for not doing everything in the building process just doesn't make sense. Once they continue on this journey of flipping houses, they will become more aware of what is supposed to go on in the whole process. Also, this is a foreign and unfamiliar type of video for them. They probably weren't too comfortable with the filming process in this way. I think everyone needs to calm down because, while it might be a little more awkward than their normal videos, it is just as new to them as it is to you.

I just got to the end of the video and literally cannot believe they ruined the fireplace. They turned a home with great character into a clone of every other "flipped" house.

i get we have our own opinions but idk about yall but i quite like this side of haley and ryan designing/renovating homes. i do agree they could maybe get a little into the process more BUT i love to see this side of them in their videos

Feels like to me they just want to do interior design. That’s what I got from the two episodes. I thought it was gonna be like they actually get a fixer upper and do it themselves while learning. A lot of inexperienced people do that. I get they hire people for the electrical and plumbing but everything else they could do. Hopefully the next house they do they will do it like that.

maybe it's just me but, I really like this series, I am a little shocked because I did think they were going to do the renovations themselves but I still really like it, I know that just buying a house itself is super stressful so I can't even imagine how much more stressful it is to not only renovate it but also turn it into an official air bnb. I hope they continue this series even though most people aren't enjoying it.

They definitely overhyped this series, I was so excited for it after hearing so much about it over on her Instagram and I feel like the first episode was good but everything is going downhill to be honest. The title says "Extreme House Renovation" so show us the renovation! I don't care if you're doing the renovation or if you hired someone else to but I just want to see the transformation of this house! You could have executed this series so well but you seem to have just gone the rushed and easy route. Just my thoughts

i think most of the issue is lack of relatablility, we cant relate to hiring people to renovate a house for u. we could have related to you renovating or at least doing most of it, diys, choosing paint colors, showing all the options and why you picked the ones you did

You guys did amazing and it was edited to perfection but all I would say is if you ever try again with a project like this I would go for less of a tv show vibe and more in depth look at everything you're doing. it seems like people are extra critical of haley and idk why. this isn't meant to be tv level production, it's a youtube video, it's her and ryan's first time renovating a house, they're just trying to show their experience. it didn't seem awkward, it seemed comfortable, and the coffee and ice skating clips were meant to show that this isn't just a business project but something they care about enough to get to know the area. can yall give them a break... she's just trying new things and having fun, chill out

I feel the contractor you have really needs to get going the place is not kept tidy just to make things safe...nothing will fall on your head your not stepping on a nail...I would be getting nervous right now. This is what I only see from this video.

honestly i think everyone may be a little too critical of this, yea the editing makes the pacing weird but its the middle of a house renovation, the crew probably didnt consent to being on camera when they started their contract, and this is haley and ryans first project, its not gonna be perfect i can just say im looking forward to next week’s episode!

The videos feel rushed, it's hard to keep up with the progress. You guys barely show anything, you just talk for a bit, do a quick montage and that's it.

I’m honestly not loving the tiles and the style they’re going for, it feels like they’re just going for that typical farm house/modern feel which Is nice but just waaaay too basic.. I would’ve liked if they decorated in a way that represents they’re personal style combined as a couple and being creative and unique, instead of decorating like every other person :)

For everyone leaving their thoughts in the comments I think we should all take into consideration that this is their first project together. They do not know everything yet and if they really do enjoy doing this they will make more, take the feedback, and make it better. I don't think its great to judge based off of their first project when its just as new to them as it is to us watching it. Give them some time and experience. They are at a new stage in their lives and everyone needs time to adjust. There is definitely things to change/improve but thats just my take on it.
