“This is a game in serious need of ghost cars” Do I have good news for you

"Bang Bang Racing" on Xbox360 was a game i spent many of time with though it was relatively short. Definitively recommendable! I'm sure, i'm not the only one, who would like to play "Art of Rally" on PS4...

Favourite over head racing games? Super off road on arcade ,Megadrive and spectrum, although it was hard to see what was happening on the spectrum version , micro machines 3 on amiga, a game called skid marks which had you drifting cars in mud tracks and supercars 2 (the amiga had a few great ones), oh and on the master system RC Grand Prix.

I can't say this game looks too interesting. Which is a shame, I saw it mentioned a couple times in this and other channels, I was expecting something more innovative, with that admittedly humble level of hype. As for my favorite over the head racer, I haven't played one in a while, or even many of them in general, but it'd probably be Micro Maniacs

i don't think you've ever played a rally game if you expect to see other cars on the track. rally is point A to B the best time wins. Each car does the stage by itself and times are recorded. RALLY CROSS is another story.

I literally say that this is how most rally games are in my review.

I love the art design of some levels! The depth of field effect is maybe too pronounced sometimes but the game looks really nice. Thanks for making me discover it!

This does look like an interesting game, that's for sure. May look into it. As for the question, my first thought was, couldn't think of any, then you mentioned Spy Hunter, then thought, OK, that one I enjoyed, so if that counts, then I'll have that be my answer.

Favourite Overhead racer is tough. I spent a bit of time not too long ago diving into a bunch of old C64 ones, so I have to go for something out of left field and say Slicks, a great F1 racer for the breadbin which makes for a great challenge for sure. Been seriously looking forward to Art of Rally for a while, ever since they put demos up. The aesthetic is lovely, and it looks like the Rally vibe has been nailed well. Certainly looking forward to be challenged by that one for sure ;)

I used to love Super Off Road on the Game Gear. My modern pick would be "Little Racers STREET"

My favorite overhead racing game is Driiftmania on Wii. Mostly for the various multiplayer modes. While not an overhead racing game, I think Trackmania on Wii has the best "single player" racing experience by having a bronze, silver, and gold level ghost racers on each track, and has various car types which all handle differently, plus some other game modes to mix things up.

QOTD: By FAR: Death Rally (the original ofc), Ignition & MM have been fun too :) Art of Rally, phew, tried the demo when it was on Steam a couple of weeks ago due to the err...no idea what the event was called. Can't help but the controls felt terrible with an xbox controller. At least for me *shrug. I may give it another try tho. Thanks for the review! Any chance of a Vaporum: Lockdown review?

... I wish this game had other cars on the track with you. That is my issue with many really games. Overhead racer, does super off-road count?

Racing head to head with other cars just wouldn't be rally though, would it? A rally cross mode could be nice though.

Some of those levels look gorgeous. Then the people are blocks lol. QOTD, yeah there aren't very many. I'd say that micro machines game by codemasters.

I really like the look of the tiny people. Especially the way they scatter.

Gonna have to check this out, last overhead racer I played was WRC Powerslide which was flawed but awesome. My favourite overhead racer of all time is Neo Drift Out.

I wanted to love WRC Powerslide, but the rubber banding was the worst I have ever encountered.

It would be a great fit on the Switch. Hopefully the developer listens.
