Feels like what's not being said is that Spurs had several opportunities to kill the game off. Son missed an absolute sitter. What Liverpool fans and these pundits fail to realize is that Liverpool have been poor since the league resumed after the lockdown in May,2020. They won the league because they had a huge lead before the lockdown but their form afterwards has been terrible. If it weren't for the form of Diogo Jota who scored some late goals for them earlier this season they wouldn't be anywhere near the top 4 currently. They needed 2 contentious penalties to win 4-3 at home against newly promoted Leeds. A fake penalty to draw late against newly promoted Fulham. These pundits are just blind or are pretending to be blind when praising Liverpool unduly and blaming the injury to Van Dijk for their poor form. He played when Villa beat them 7-2 this season.
